Kaizer Chiefs hold talks with Yorke

Latest from Your Site News' Adrian Kajumba and Amar Mehta:

Dwight Yorke has had talks with Kaizer Chiefs about their vacant managers job.

The clubs ex-assistant Fernando Da Cruz is the favourite to take over the South African side.

But his appointment has yet to be confirmed and former Premier League striker Yorke is another name Chiefs have spoken to during their managerial search.

Yorke is also expected to be approached by the Jamaica Football Federation about becoming their next permanent manager.

Jamaica held talks with Yorke before appointing Steve McClaren in July 2024.

Let the deals commence!

Chelsea agree to sell Cucurella to Real Madrid

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sell Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old is currently in the US with the Spain squad and will complete his move after the World Cup has concluded.

Multiple clubs were interested in signing him but the former Barcelona full-back wanted to sign for Real Madrid. He had been linked with a return to Barca, as well as Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.

The fee has not yet been made public, but it is believed to be more than 50m (43.1m).

It's already been very busy summer for incoming Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, who will officially start work at his new club next month. Deals for Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Bernardo Silva have already been secured.

Cucurella made public comments criticising Chelsea's transfer policy and the decision to let Enzo Maresca leave at the start of the year.

He is not considered one of Chelsea's "untouchable" players, which includes Cole Palmer and Reece James.

Chelsea signed Cucurella from Brighton four years ago for 63m.

Spurs announce new Porro deal

Tottenham have announced that Pedro Porro has signed a new long-term contract at the club.

Your Site News understands that it is a five-year deal which includes an option to extend for a further year, with Porro set to become one of the clubs top earners.

Porro had interest from elsewhere, which he was aware of, but has chosen to commit his future to Spurs.

Speaking on the new deal, head coach Roberto De Zerbi told the Spurs website: Pedro is a very important player for us, who has consistently shown his ability to influence matches in both defensive and attacking situations.

As well as his technical quality, I also love his mentality. Every day he wants to work, to learn and to improve, and these are the characteristics that help players reach the highest level.

He understands football in a very intelligent way, and brings energy, intensity and personality to the team.

This new contract is good news for everyone at the Club. We believe in Pedro, and I am excited to continue working with him and helping him achieve even more in the coming years.

Man Utd will save money if Amorim joins AC Milan

Latest from Your Site News' Dan Khan:

Manchester United will save a significant sum if former head coach Ruben Amorim becomes the next AC Milan manager.

United sacked Amorim and his coaching staff in January after 14 months in charge, costing the club 15.9m in compensation.

But that will be reduced, potentially by millions, if Amorim, who is in advanced talks with Milan, joins the Serie A side.

If he does become the next Milan manager, Amorim and Manchester United could have a relatively quick reunion as the two clubs are due to meet in pre-season on August 15 in Poland.

Van Hecke seeks clarity over future

Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke has said he wants clarity on his future after the Seagulls rejected two bids from Tottenham for the defender.

Your Site News understands that Van Hecke's valuation is expected to be in excess of 60m, and the club have .

Speaking to reporters ahead of Netherlands' World Cup opener against Japan on Sunday, the defender said: "First of all, I just want to focus on the Dutch national team on Sunday. That is a very important match for us, for me, so thats my focus until now.

"Of course, things are also happening and I know that myself too, but thats not for now, thats more after the World Cup.

"I will then see where I play.

"I have also said very clearly that I would like to have clarity for myself before the World Cup.

"And I have that too, but then for now, for myself, its just clear, I just want to play the World Cup as well as possible.

"That clarity will probably come after the World Cup when I make that step, then its clear to everyone."

McInnes agrees to replace Rhl at Rangers

Derek McInnes has agreed a deal in principle to become the new Rangers boss.

Final details are being ironed out but McInnes will leave Hearts, who he guided to a second-place finish in the Scottish Premiership last season, and sign a three-year deal at Ibrox.

McInnes is set to replace Danny Rhl, who has agreed a deal to join RB Salzburg.

Amorim frontrunner for AC Milan job

Former Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim is the clear frontrunner to take over as AC Milan's new head coach, according to Sky in Italy

United are set to save potentially millions of pounds if Amorim does succeed Massimiliano Allegri at San Siro.

The potential cost of sacking Amorim and his coaching staff is 15.9m but that compensation will be reduced if he starts a new job.

If Amorim does become the next Milan manager, he and Manchester United could have a relatively quick reunion, as the two clubs are due to meet in pre-season on August 15 in Poland.

Al Ahli boss Matthias Jaissle has been another contender for the Milan job, but Sky in Italy are reporting that it is increasingly likely Amorim will be appointed.

Rangers to hold talks with McInnes to replace Rhl

Latest from Your Site News' Luke Shanley:

Rangers will hold talks with Derek McInnes about replacing Rhl.

The club made a formal approach to Hearts to speak to their head coach.

Current boss Rhl is on the verge of joining RB Salzburg.

McInnes, a former Rangers player, previously knocked back the chance to manage the club in 2017.

Rangers chairman Andrew Cavanagh and chief executive Jim Gillespie are in Boston and will watch Haiti against Scotland.

Hearts chief executive Andrew McKinlay is also at the match as part of a Scottish FA delegation in his role as Scottish FA vice-president.

McInnes is on his way to the game after his close-season holiday in America.
